The May family consisting of husband and wife, Steve and Bobbie, have had a tough few years navigating illness and carer responsibilities, however through the connection with Dorset Freemasons, Kath, an Adviser who is a member of the Advice and Support Team, was able to help the family manage their challenges.

Freemason Rahul had previously been working with an overseas business, until the contract ended when the company was nationalised in early 2025. His contract was soon terminated, leaving him in a difficult financial position.

Alan has been a dedicated Freemason for many years, which has always been a source of pride and purpose in his life. But when a marriage breakdown and a change in life circumstances left him struggling to support his children, Alan found himself facing challenges he never expected.

After Kim’s partner of 45 years died, she was left in a difficult financial situation and became the sole carer for her stepson – who sadly passed away just three months later.

Three years ago, Lisa was struggling to find a way forward for her daughter Lauryn. Following an autism diagnosis, Lauryn was removed from mainstream education due to burnout and emotional overwhelm. She began having frequent seizures and was eventually diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder, losing the ability to walk two and a half years ago.
