Children, young people and education
We help young people in education or training to achieve their potential and maximise their talents.
Our grants can fund or part-fund:
- Computer equipment
- Educational assessments
- School fees – in exceptional circumstances
- Higher education
- Apprenticeships
- Childcare costs
- Support for exceptional talent
This is not an exhaustive list of the support available, and all support is considered on a case by case basis.
TalentAid
Our TalentAid programme supports children and young people who are exceptionally talented in music, sport or the performing arts.
Grants can be awarded to assist with ongoing costs such as sports coaching, advanced music lessons or the purchase of one-off items such as sports equipment or a musical instrument.
Studying abroad
We offer Travelling Scholarships for children and young people to travel abroad for educational purposes.
The funds for our Travelling Scholarships are limited.
Postgraduate support
We’re here to help young people realise their full potential by providing financial support for postgraduate study.
We aim to do this by providing support, such as course fees, accommodation, and living costs, so that students can pursue their academic dreams.
Can we help you?
We can support the children, stepchildren, grandchildren and step grandchildren of Freemasons who are under 25 and in full-time education.
Our education grants are means tested.
