Is your charity eligible for a grant?

The Freemasons’ Charity only supports charities registered with the Charity Commission. Please note, unfortunately exempt charities are not eligible to apply.

The Freemasons’ Charity only accepts independently examined or audited charity accounts. If you have recently merged then you will need to have one year of accounts as a merged organisation.

The grant ends 12 months from the date of the last instalment. For example, a one year grant awarded in 2018 ends in 2019; the charity would be eligible to reapply in 2021. A two year grant awarded in 2018 ends in 2020; the charity would be eligible to reapply in 2022.

The earliest a charity can reapply after an unsuccessful application is one year after the date of submission of the previous expression of interest.

If your income is between £25,000 and £500,000 then you may be eligible for a small grant. If your income is between £500,000 and £5 million then you may be eligible for a large grant.
